If you are looking for fun things to do around Pompano Beach in January, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you like to explore lighthouses, enjoy music or raising money for a great cause, there are activities to fit your interests.

• Take a boat tour of the Hillsboro Lighthouse on Saturday, January 7 from Alsdorf Park. There are three times available for shuttle boats that will take you to the lighthouse leaving at 9, 9:45 and 11:15am for a one-hour, round trip.
• Enjoy the live, professional stage production of “From Broadway’s Best to Today’s Top Music” featuring the history of Jewish composers in American Music, including George Gershwin and Irving Berlin. There will be five performances throughout January 19 – 22 at The Countess de Hoernle Theatre in nearby Boca Raton.
• On January 22 take part in the South Florida K9 Cancer Walk and raise money for canine cancer research. The walk takes place from 9am – 1pm at Tradewinds Park located at 3600 West Sample Road in Coconut Creek.
