Hot summer days and cool summer nights have finally arrived and along with comes a multitude of fun and exciting activities to take part in. The city of Pompano Beach, Florida is home to some of the warmest and clearest waters, so perhaps this summer you might consider going for a dip at one of its beaches.

Pompano Beach is a no-brainer take your friends and family and enjoy a nice beach picnic or play some beach volleyball for an all-around enjoyable summer day. Nearby is the Pompano Beach Pier, a great place to grab a quick snack. You’ll also find that it’s a beautiful spot to take in the view of the ocean waves and the surrounding wildlife – there are seagulls and pelicans aplenty. If you’re into fishing, the pier makes for a good fishing spot as well. There’s also a few nice places to picnic and a nearby play area will surely entertain the kids.

Don’t Miss These Pompano Beach St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

St. Patrick’s Day, the one day every year when everyone is a little Irish, is nearly here!

Along with New Year’s Eve, Cinco de Mayo and Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day has earned the distinction as one of the hottest party days — a day of socially-accepted day-drinking and subsequent hangovers.  This year it falls on a Friday, so even more reason to celebrate at these local Irish Bars and Restaurants.

Explore the Area’s Best Botanical Gardens

It is spring and even though you rent an apartment in Pompano Beach where it is always warm the longer days may have you yearning for flagrant flowers and fluttering butterflies.  If that is the case, then these botanical gardens should be on your list of fun activities.


Flamingo Gardens

Step in to the tropics at the 15 acre Tropical Garden with over 2,000 tropical and sub-tropical plants and trees. Or take a walk on the wild side at the Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see over 85 native species including alligators, bobcats, panthers, otters, eagles, peacocks and of course, flamingos.

Discover Florida’s history by touring the historic Wray Home Museum draped in orchids. You can also take a narrated tram ride through the 46 acres, just make sure to check their website for seasonal hours. Flamingo Gardens also has live presentations featuring Florida’s native wildlife daily.
